In the second quarter of 2025, several navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in New Zealand showed varied performance metrics. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads and active users.

Google Maps maintained a steady weekly download range, peaking at approximately 4.3K in mid-April. The app's weekly active users fluctuated slightly, with a peak of around 333K in mid-April and ending the quarter at about 329K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic started the quarter with downloads around 1K, rising to a peak of 1.4K in late May. The app saw active user numbers increase to around 16.4K in early May, closing the quarter with approximately 13.8K.

Polarsteps Travel experienced growth in weekly downloads, reaching over 1K in early May before a slight decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users initially declined, but showed a significant increase in June, ending with about 9K.

Google Earth downloads remained around 1K throughout the quarter, with a small increase to 943 in late June. Active user numbers varied, peaking at 8.6K in mid-June and ending at around 7.9K.

Fieldays - Official App showed a notable surge in downloads, reaching over 6.3K in early June. This spike was a significant increase from the beginning of the quarter.
